Exploration-Recognising the spirit in substance in the Waldorf Curriculum
Sloka Steiner Waldorf Teacher Training (SSWTT)
We are delighted to inform you that we are recommencing the much-awaited SSWTT Course this year after a brief hiatus.
COURSE DETAILS
The theme of this course is “Exploring Spirit in Substance” with a strong focus on the archetypes and the phenomenology that recur as a red thread throughout the curriculum. This training will delve into Astronomy, Mineralogy, Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Plant and Animal Study. We will also explore History, Geography and Meteorology, along with artistic activities like making platonic solids, clay moulding, handwork, charcoal and chemical paintings. We will discuss their place and significance in the context of a Waldorf school, with examples of how we incorporate them into the curriculum.
Waldorf is an age-appropriate artistic form of education where art and science meet to spark off a love for learning in children and provide them with practical insights. The economy of teaching and spirit of Waldorf curriculum is explored in this course, from the earliest years through stories, movement and play. Assignments, presentations and classroom observations are integral elements of this course.
We invite teachers and other stakeholders in the Education and Development of children to join us. Together we can explore innovative new ways to teach children.. We also look forward to seeing more parents, so we can build bridges between the home and the school, to help create an informed and committed community around the school.
The SSWTT course will be conducted in a hybrid mode (both offline and online) from January 17th to February 12th, 2022 led by highly qualified mentors. The training will be held Monday to Friday from 10:45 a.m.-2:30 p.m. at Sloka Aziz Nagar campus and online from 5:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m.

History of Sloka Steiner Waldorf Teacher Training (SSWTT)
Sloka pioneered the Steiner-Waldorf Education in India 25 years ago. It is imperative to have a formalised Teacher Training Program., so we are able to renew ourselves as teachers, and bring key elements of Waldorf Education into our work with students.
Sloka launched the Sloka Teacher Training College 6 years ago. This course has constantly undergone a process of review, revision and renewal throughout these years.
