Exploration Spirit in Substance in the Waldorf Curriculum
Sloka Steiner Waldorf Teacher Training (SSWTT)
We are delighted to inform you that we are recommencing the much-awaited SSWTT Course this year after a brief hiatus.
The theme of this course is “Exploring Spirit in Substance” which we will offering in 2 modules. The first will present an overview of the transformative power of Waldorf Education through a spirit-filled approach to educating the human being in the KG and Grade school years (KG to Grade 8). We will look at how teachers can live into the Waldorf Curriculum though the power of language, capturing the spirit of substances and the living world of forms and numbers.
As always, we will be exploring enlivening activities like form drawing, needle work in Math, making platonic solids, clay moulding and for the first time, the Wish, Wonder and Surprise Block. We will discuss their place and significance in the context of a Waldorf school, with examples of how we incorporate them into the curriculum.
We hope that teachers across India will take this opportunity to deepen and renew their connection with these vital principles that hold up Waldorf Education in our country. We also look forward to seeing more parents, so we can build bridges between the home and the school, thereby keeping the child in an environment of shared responsibility and trust. We are eager to see people who are curious about Waldorf Education or are exploring options with a view to eventually teach.

History of Sloka Steiner Waldorf Teacher Training (SSWTT)
Sloka pioneered the Steiner-Waldorf Education in India 25 years ago. It is imperative to have a formalised Teacher Training Program., so we are able to renew ourselves as teachers, and bring key elements of Waldorf Education into our work with students.
Sloka launched the Sloka Teacher Training College 6 years ago. This course has constantly undergone a process of review, revision and renewal throughout these years.
