Governance

As a self-administered institution, our school is organized around the mandate which gave rise to the first Waldorf School. All those who work closely with the children are the policy makers of our school. Therefore, Teachers, Board of Trustees and the Parent Council work as a unit for the betterment of Sloka. We are happy to note that each group acknowledges and supports the expertise and relevance of the other.

The College of Teachers (Pedagogical Section) carries the responsibility for determining teaching guidelines that the school should adopt. The Pedagogical Section meets every week to read the works of Rudolf Steiner and discuss child-related issues and concerns. The Board of Trustees is comprised of an equal number of representatives from Teachers, Parents and the Founders. It is responsible for the financial well-being of the school. The Trust works on financial policies, determines tuition rates, oversees development and implementation of the school’s budget and maps out long-term plans to promote the growth of the institution.

Parent Council

The Parent Council is made up of all the parents of Sloka students. Each parent is a member here and works with the teachers/ management to organize various activities and events in the school. There is a core section of the Parent Council too, who assist the management in every way they can.

Non-Discrimination Policy

Sloka – The Hyderabad Waldorf School, is committed to fostering a fully inclusive school community and welcomes students and staff of all races, ethnicities, nationalities, religions, socio-economic backgrounds, sexual orientations and spiritual values.
